	THE PRIMROSE LEAGUE
INTRODUCTION PAGE.

This Web Site contains a pictorial offering of Jewels, Badges, Insignia, Pins, Documents, Diplomas, Horse Brasses, Crested China, Ephemera and etc, used by or relating to the Primrose League. A brief history of the 'League' is also available, as are details of the makers of the regalia. Biographical details of leading members of the Primrose League are being added, when encountered, but sadly information relating to members of local Habitations (Branches) is almost impossible to find. Little, if anything, has been published, especially from a Numismatists point of view, relating to these delightful works of art, which have little monetary value, unless a rare item, but surely they deserve recording.

A quantity of leading characters, taken from Vanity Fair (1868 - 1914), who relate to the Primrose League, have been added to enhance the text. The source of all items used, not from the Writers collection, include, where known and if agreeable, acknowledgements.

It is hoped to continually update this site with fresh material as it becomes available and the help of you, the viewer, is needed in this area. Anonymous contributions are always welcomed. This Web Site is based on the Author's Collection with added information from various Museums, Auction offerings, Personal communications, Dealers listings, Donations and Private purchases.

The arrival of a Primrose League Diploma, with a Band of Hope Certificate to the same young lady, has encouraged the adding of a sampling of medals issued by The Band of Hope. A few Conservative Badges will be found on the National Union Page.

This Primrose League Web Site, now over 37.0MB in size and containing well over 3000 files, can be obtained on a CD for those of you wishing to study the information or are using a dial-up modem (surely no one still is!) -- the cost, post paid, will be £1 in stamps. The CD will be burnt the day of dispatch and therefore will be up to date (with no adverts), contain files to large for up-loading to the Web Host. The CD contains Slide Shows of both the Badge and Jewel pages which are not available on-line, again due to Web Host limitations.
