Sarah Ann Bartholomew was born on 17th January 1851 at All Saints, Newmarket, Cambridgeshire . She married William Reginald Lybbe Powys-Lybbe (born 'Powys') on the 25th September 1880 at the British Vice Consulate, Boulogne sur Mer, France and at St John's Church there. They had issue three sons and one daughter. After the death of her first husband she married Charles Wright Edwards on the 15th May 1889 at St Mary's Parish Church, Wallingford, Oxfordshire, they had no issue. She died on the 30th March 1895 at 'Chaucers House', Woodstock, Oxfordshire.

His first wife Christina Cecilia Haywood died 29th December 1879, he then married Sarah Ann Bartholomew on the 25th September 1880. The certificate below shows the award of the Grand Star 3rd Grade, this for services as President of the Divisional Council, a high position, within the Primrose League. He died on the 4th April 1888 at 'The Croft', Wallingford. |

The O.M. suffix to Sarah Powys-Lybbe name would equate to 'Dame of the Order of Merit' a reward conferred by the Primrose League. |
