I am indebted to Liz Marchal for making available and sharing this little treasure. The 'Message to the Buds', to be found on page 4, a poem written by George Batty (Acton) Liz Marchal's uncle, is presumably the reason why this issue of the Primrose Bud was retained by her family.
Confirmation has been received from Jane Smith (née Batty), now residing in Australia, that the above is correct and that her Father, who died over 30 years ago, would have been pleased to see that his poem was available for all to view.
